About Ellis Darnell

Hi! I’m Ellis and I'm so glad you’re here.

I love anything that sparkles, caffeine, and my two cats. I’m a huge Taylor Swift girlie and can often be found relating her music to the characters in my head. 

​

I’ve been an avid reader since I was little and began crafting my own worlds around the age of eleven. In fact, I spent more time daydreaming about my fictional spaces than paying attention in class. I set the largest Accelerated Reader points gained in a single school year record at my grade school when I was twelve. I participated (and won!) local writing contests from 6th grade to senior year.

In college, I discovered my love of theatre and began stage-managing productions. Since then, I have worked on over 40 productions across the southern Illinois area. There’s something special about seeing a group of people come together to bring a story to life. I have even been lucky enough to shadow the stage management teams of Aladdin and Some Like It Hot on their stops at the Fabulous Fox in St. Louis!

In my free time, I enjoy being at home with my mom and two cats. I also enjoy traveling (especially to the beach), collecting and spinning vinyl records, and watching my favorite TV shows, especially Bob’s Burgers.
